Bill and Carlotta's Summer Package

Bill and Carlotta live on the U.S. eastern seaboard.  They enjoy biking, hiking and paddling, but most of all, enjoy nature.  They were seeking an opportunity to spend time in a pristine environment, away from the crowds they encounter when pursuing outdoor interests in their home area.

While some aspects of our stock packages appealed to them, they also wanted to add a few items from our "a l'carte" Day Tours menu.

Their package:

• no accommodations built into the package.
• A one-way shuttled road biking day through the scenic mountains to our southwest.  We drove them to their beginning, at the western entrance to Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and they biked their way back to the northern tip of the Cabot Trail, outside Cape North;
• A self-guided day bike tour on the Cabot Trail down the eastern side of the island.
• A half day guided kayak tour in one of our large, island-dotted harbours.  During the tour we visited the stark white gypsum cliffs for which the area is known, as well as seabird nesting areas;
• A full day guided bike-hike to our northernmost lighthouse.
   

Their only regret was that the accommodations they'd booked were somewhat distant from the Top of the Island area, where most of their activities took place.
