Guided Tours

"......where the mountains meet the sea.........".

The phrase above describes the northern region of Cape Breton Island and the spectacular nature our coastal scenery.

It’s not a place to be viewed through a windshield!

For this reason we offer a number of guided tours utilizing a variety of outdoor activities.  We offer these in both half day and full day formats, and we “launch” our guided tours for a minimum of two adult clients.

We offer full day and half day tours, guided or self-guided, in the following general diciplines:

• Hiking
• Kayaking
• Cycling, both on and off-road
• Whale watching, either utilizing Zodiac or Hard-hulled Cape islander vessels.  (These tours are subcontracted to our whale watching partners).
• Cross Country and Backcountry Skiing
• Snow Shoeing

As a general rule, our half day tours run approximately four hours, while our full day tours run six to eight hours.  Many involve van transportation, which provides our guides with additional time to share their knowledge of the culture, history and environment of the area with our guests.
