guided snow shoe day trips offer a variety of terrain. Some offer level
walks on the highland plateau to vistas of exceptional scenery. Others involve
steep climbs to peaks and ridges, with access into the deep interior. Still
others traverse rolling terrain among mixed forests where a variety of wildlife
make their winter homes.
One theme runs through all our tours: The ease of travel over the snow, combined with the gentle pace and quiet of the activity, allows all an appreciation of the quiet beauty and solitude of the highland wilderness in winter.
